Day 01 : Varanasi
Airport/Railway station and check in to Hotel. The name of
the city is derived from the two small rivulets Varuna and
Assi that flow around the city. Varanasi, is said to be
founded by Lord Shiva and is also known as Banares or Kashi.
It is considered as one of the holy Saptapuri (Seven Cities)
where a person can attend Moksha. Mahakavi Tulsidas also
composed and wrote his epic poem Ram Charitra Manas in
Varanasi. At evening, get ready to experience one of the
most memorable moments of your life, as you will be taken to
River Ganges. Enjoy Ganga Aarti. Get a glimpse of the
spiritualism at the Ganga Ghats (river front). Can enjoy the
Ganga Arti on Boat (optional and by own cost). Night stay at
Hotel in Varanasi.
Day 02 : Varanasi
breakfast, take a boat ride on the Ganges. It is a mystical
and spiritual experience as you watch people offering water
to the Sun God and devotees taking holy dip in the Ganges.
Also visit all the famous Ghats of Varanasi via boat.
Afternoon, visit the most religious Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
Offer prayers and if intended then Abhishek can also be
performed here. Later also visit the Annapurna Temple, the
Bharat Mata Temple, Sankat Mochan(Hanuman) Temple , Manas
Mandir & the Banaras Hindu University. Evening return to the
Hotel and overnight stay at Varanasi.
Day 03 : Varanasi –
Allahabad (Approx 110 KM, 3 hrs)
breakfast, drive to Allahabad. Reach Allahabad and Check
into the hotel. The Original Name of the City is Prayag
which meand sangam or confluence. This is because this place
has a confluence of the Ganga, the Yamuna and the Saraswati
rivers. Allahabad/Prayag is also said to be the second
ol;dest city in India. Afternoon, visit the Sangam (Meeting
point / Confluence) of the three rivers - Ganga, Yamuna &
Saraswati. The Sangam is overlooked by the eastern ramparts
of the fort, wide flood plains and muddy banks. At the point
at which the brown Ganges meets the Greenish Yamuna, pandits
(priests) perch on small platforms to perform puja and
assist the devout in their ritual ablutions in the shallow
waters. Beaches and ghats are littered and various holy
rituals will be seen everywhere near ghats. If intended then
time is free for the holy bath and Pooja Rituals. Evening is
free at leisure to take a walk in the ancient city on your
own. Return to the Hotel and overnight stay at Allahabad.
Day 04 : Allahabad –
Varanasi (Approx 110 KM, 3 hrs)
breakfast, check out from the Hotel. Visit the Hanuman
Temple and Anand Bhavan - one of the country’s best-running
museums in memory of Jawahar Lal Nehru. Also visit the
Swaraj Bhawan -the house where the former Prime Minister of
India Mrs. Indira Gandhi was born. Afternoon, leave for
Varanasi. Reach Varanasi and evening is free at leisure.
Overnight stay at Varanasi.
Day 05 : Varanasi –
Sarnath – Varanasi
This morning, after
breakfast, take an excursion to Sarnath. Sarnath is the
place where Buddha delivered his first sermon to his
disciples. This is also called as “The Setting in Motion the
Wheel of Dharma”. The attractions at Sarnath are the Buddha
Temples, the Dhamekha Stupa, Chaukhandi Stupa and the
Archaeological Museum. Mid-afternoon, return to Varanasi.
Later time is free to visit the Markets for shopping.
Overnight stay at Varanasi.
Day 06 : Varanasi –
morning, after breakfast, check out from the Hotel and drop
at the Railway Station or the Airport for Return Journey.
